Anthony J. Lewis received his B.A. from Rutgers University, and his M.A. and Ph.D. in English from the University of Wisconsin.  He taught English at Buffalo State College (SUNY) for 32 years, reviewed theater for the Buffalo News, performed comedy on stage, and produced plays in Western New York.  A resident of Dartmouth since 2002, he now writes feature stories for the Standard-Times and reviews books for the Providence Journal.  Dr. Lewis is a board member of Brick by Brick, a New Bedford after school program that helps disadvantaged teenagers, and of the David Fendrick Theater Fund, a Buffalo organization that awards grants to promising actors, musicians, and writers.
