Heather Zine has been working as the Executive Director of the South Coast Chamber Music Society since the spring of 2008.  She has a Bachelor’s Degreefrom Simmons College.  Heather’s concern for the environment got her involved with The Coalition for Buzzards Bay, a non-profit organization in New Bedford that works to protect Buzzards Bay and its watershed.  She has been a volunteer with them for almost four years, and was an employee for a short time before becoming a stay-at-home mom.  Both working and volunteering for The Coalition has enabled Heather to develop a better understanding of how non-profit organizations run.  In particular, she became better educated in donor solicitation, gift entry, donor mailings and acknowledgements, and also event support, all of which she now utilizes in her current position for SCCMS.  Heather lives in West Wareham with her husband, daughter, and two dogs.
